After the last few months of pretty much making this blog thing up as I went along I think I'm starting to find a rhythm - or at least it feels like the ratio of 'make stuff up' to that of 'fudge the numbers when necessary' has taken a different turn.
So with November dead like disco and the end of 2014 flying towards me like a nuclear fuelled bald spot seeking missile, I thought now would be a good time to take stock.
This years Movember campaign took £106!
My moustache has been gone for a week and although I’m sure ill see that little bugger again next year I’ve been absolutely flabbergasted at the generosity of the people in my universe. Really guys you are amazing thank you so much, it has been a pleasure itching in the name of mens health.
At the tail end of Nanowrimo I'm still at least a third away from what any real human being could call the first draft of a novel. instead what I've got is 50 151 word long fleshed out idea of a number of fairly interesting characters. Later ill harvest it for limbs and organs Dr Frankenstein style and using needles, garden clippers and twine ill fashion it into something far less wholesome.
So anyway, plans for the next little while.
I am beside myself with excitement to get back to work on my novel which has been resting in limbo since the end of June. Printed out a hard copy and I cant tell you how awesome it was to feel the weight of it in my hands. Never expected it to hit me that hard but hey thats show business. Maybe ill feel a little less affection for it after the first read through but then gain maybe after six months it will feel like it actually is someone else’s book - I sure hope so.
Drabbles have been a lot of fun and way more challenging than most would believe.
(a Drabble is a story of EXACTLY 100 words no more no less)
Have also come to the conclusion that I am damn near incapable of writing anything light.
So to counteract it have promised to write lady pilgrim something 'romancy'.
Bad Myk! Why you no English proper?
Because romancy thats why, it’s like necromancy but with more warmth and flowers.
Hang on, scratch that bit about the flowers, but I’m sticking to the warmth thing.
In other news I had two haiku poems published in this years Halloween Haiku 2 and other hauntings
So I guess I’m a published writer.

Was more than a little thrilled to see my words in the e-book, but I think it ill really hit when I see the hard copy. If you want to check it out check the link below:
So in review, I've managed pretty much all of my goals this year and then some. Well all except for that one about running a mile in 8 minutes, but you know we're not all perfect.
In the meantime I wish you all a happy festive season - HOWEVER you choose to spend it.
Seasons greetings and all that hoo haa.
See you in a week.
